Bears of Brooks Falls

Bears flock to the falls to await the great sockeye salmon migration. The migration was a bit late that year and all the bears would congregate each night and wait. The day after this image was taken, a large number of salmon came through feeding everyone. Image taken July 17th, 202. Click on the picture to purchase.

Bear #409 Beadnose catches a fish. This image was taken late July 2018. Sadly, this was the last year that she was seen at Brooks Falls. Click on the picture to purchase.

Bear #151 Walker

A close encounter with an apex predator can stop your heat. While walking alone, I ran into bear #151 Walker. I stood my ground and tried to appear uninterested. He gave me a “huff” as i took a few images and then i talked slowly away. Click on the picture to purchase.
